Mite predators are important in integrated management of mites, specifically in complex crop systems where the demand for organic & pesticide-free crops is rising.

Praying Mantis are general predators that feed on aphids, beetles, caterpillars, chinch bugs, potato beetles, leafhoppers, hornworms, squash bugs, thrips and whiteflies.

Adults are tiny fly-like midges, active only at night. They search out Aphid colonies by scent. Once a colony is located, they lay their eggs beside it. The small orange larvae hatch in 2- 3 days & feed on aphids, killing more than they can consume.

Lacewings are general predators that feed on aphids, mealybugs, scales, spider mites, thrips, whiteflies, insect eggs (leafhoppers, moths, & beetle larvae). They are best known as aphid predators & known to feed on 100s of aphid over its lifetime.
